Dog Training

Stay & Train Programs

Your dog stays with us and learns from expert trainers who tailor the training program to your dog’s personality and needs. We kick things off with an evaluation, then let you know how many weeks of training our trainers recommend for your dog.

On your final drop-off Monday, you’ll get a fun booklet explaining what your dog learned and how we train. Then it’s your turn—we’ll guide you through handling skills and commands in a one-on-one lesson.

BATTLE CREEK DOG TRAINING

Our trainers have decades of experience and can accommodate the diverse needs of the dog we train. We all work together to ensure that whether your dog is in training, attending day care, or getting groomed, they receive the best possible care.

Puppy Training

This program is for puppies (10–16 weeks old). We will introduce your puppy to leash manners, handling skills, socialization (such as trips to the pet store), crate training, impulse control, sit, down, polite greetings and professional grooming. This training may prevent problem behaviors and begin training desirable behavior; helps puppies get a great head start on obedience training and makes them a joy to be around.

Training Cost

Training evaluation day is $50, or $100 for dog’s with a bite history. Each week of training is $600, or $750 for dog’s with a bite history. The prong collars we use are $25-50 depending on the size of your dog and whether, or not, we add a buckle to the collar. The e-collars we use are $200.

Dog Training

Program Overview:

This training program is for dogs 16 weeks and older and focuses on building strong foundational habits. Dogs will learn: loose-leash walking, attention, sit, down, stay, wait at doors, leave it, recall (come), the place command, a forced settle and be exposed to professional grooming. It’s perfect for owners who want polite, public-ready dogs.

Customized Training Plan:

Our training is tailored to your goals, your dog’s personality and learning style. Before starting, you’ll complete detailed paperwork. Then, your dog will come in for an evaluation day where our trainers assess their needs and recommend a training timeline—typically 2–8 weeks. We will not know how many weeks of training we will recommend until we meet your dog, as our recommendation is dependent upon your dog’s personality and learning style.

Experienced Trainers:

With decades of combined experience, our trainers know how to efficiently meet your goals. We never charge for unnecessary training and only finalize a plan after meeting your dog.
